Early Life Lesson (if this, then that)
Early life lessons taught me not to make my dreams conditionally. If x happens (and x must happen), then and only then can I do y. Life rarely happens as planned.
Like:
if doctor says high cholesterol, then I’ll change my diet.
if I love you is said, then I can say it back.
if I get a raise, then I’ll start saving.
if they open the door, then I can walk through.
if the timing is perfect, then I can follow my dreams.
Imagine:
I changed my diet so I never had the convo with the doctor.
I said I love you and still mean it.
I saved what I could, now I can save more with the raise I’ll get.
I opened the door and they were waiting for me.
I followed my dreams and it was imperfectly memorable.
